Yes, closed.....I will inform you when my next photo posting site is up and running.
After the new year I have plans to purchase new photo gear. Once acquired I will be moving to an all photoblog site. All photos with very little text.
I do not know much about taking photos so it is my hope that this will allow me to dive deeper into the whole process. The technology that surrounds modern day photography can be consuming and distracting from the real goal of documenting life as it happens. I care little about the technical side...I just want to get out and capture things that move me and then have a forum to share them with you. Stay tuned.
As you can see I have changed up the site design a bit. It is likely it will continue to change over time. I am not entirely pleased with how this site posts photos so I have been looking at a few alternatives. Stay tuned as I continue to tinker.
Today Mexico swore in a new President, Señior Félipe Calderon. If you have been following the news at all south of the border you know that the transition of power has not been smooth. Violence was feared by many today during the inauguration but happily none occurred. When a new President is inaugurated in Mexico it is a national holiday. Everything was shut down.
Several Sundays ago I was watching the bull fights on live television. Each Sunday at 2 pm the bullfights are broadcast from the Plaza de Toros Bullring in Mexico City.
Someone told me this week they thought I was stuck in my ways......in honor of this I give you one pig stuck in the mud. I stumbled upon this pig during an afternoon walk while staying on an island in the Mekong River Delta.
The Mekong is one of the world's major rivers.
It is the 10th-longest in the world, and the 10th-largest by volume
(discharging 475 km³ of water annually). Its estimated length is 4,909
km. It drains an area of 795,000 km²: From Tibet it runs through China's Yunnan province, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. There is a large network of islands (over 1000) on the Mekong in the N.E. part of Cambodia and the S.W. portion of Loas. It is here that I took a boat to one of the island's, were I spent ten days exploring, lounging in my hammock and sharing island life with a local Cambodian family. If you are lucky you can see freshwater dolphins swimming in the Mekong.

Oh please show pictures!! I always wanted to go to Himalayas, Indian, Tibet and Nepal. :) read more
